The dramatic vapour trails of passing aircraft slice through the dawn sky and make a  stunning reflection in the river Stort.

A fine stone bridge, spanning the River Lea, once carried a major road through the quiet village of Stanstead Abbots.

This majestic archway, now known as Gobions Folly, once stood at the entrance to a magnificent country park near Potters Bar and is now all that remains of the estate.
